Films with French female pranksters? Perhaps you think of the titular characters from Amélie or Zazie dans le Métro, but these wonderful personalities have roots that run deep into the history of French cinema. Meet the "Silent-Era Brats": a joyful collection of anarchic pranksters with a decided feminist bent, not to mention a heathy dose of surrealism. Women with true sense of fun and mayhem.

Follow the antics of Léontine (played by a popular but still unidentified actress), Rosalie (actress Sarah Duhamel), Cunégonde and Zoé (both played by an actress known as Little Chrysia) as they take you through a unique window into a specific time and place: France 1910 to 1913, a world of lady cab drivers (called "les femmes cochers"), new technologies (batteries and phonographs) and a comic solution for the notoriously hot summer of 1911.
