Life is easy for 43-year-old Luis (Alain Chabat, one of France’s favorite comics, currently starring in US theaters in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian as Napoléon Bonaparte) a happy single guy; fulfilled in his job of star “nose” with a perfume company and pampered by his widowed mother and five sisters. It could last forever if his mother and sisters, tired of taking care of him, didn't decide it was time for him to get married.
Pestered by his family who only thinks of marrying him off, he comes up with an infallible plan: he’ll find the perfect woman who’ll pretend to be his fiancée before cruelly dumping him. After that, he is certain that no one will dare even mention the word “marriage” in front of him. But how do you go about finding such a gem? Luis sees only one solution: hire her! And it just so happens that Emma, his best friend‘s sister, Emma (Charlotte Gainsbourg, daughter of singer-composer Serge Gainsbourg & singer and actress Jane Birkin; winner of the Best Actress Award at the 2009 Cannes Film festival for her role in Antichrist by Lars Von Trier) has recently arrived in Paris and is desperately looking for a job. The plan is underway but, as in every good comedy, things won’t go as planned...
