HOW TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE SACRAMENTO FRENCH FILM FESTIVAL

WHY DONATE TO THE SFFF? YOU make the Festival happen!

The costs of booking films and renting our venues (to name only our two most essential expenses) increase every year and our tickets sales cover only about half of our operating costs. The Sacramento French Film Festival remains dependent on support from our sponsors to bring the highest-quality films to Sacramento while keeping event pricing affordable to a wide audience.

The SFFF is organized by the Sacramento French Cultural Society, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Your contribution is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Over time, our organization has expanded and diversified its annual program offerings beyond the June festival with our Winter Short Film Screening (the 10th edition was held in February 2017 at the Crest Theatre), and our Mini Fall Sac French Film Fest (The 4th Mini Fest will be held on October 2017 at the Crest Theatre).

Since our begginings, we have also strived to present film programs with a broad array of genres, subjects, and points of view that provoke thought as well as entertain. With the many challenges facing our society today, we believe the SFFF’s mission of providing exposure to and understanding of different cultures is more relevant than ever. Film is a powerful medium in which to share international perspectives on important issues, as well as underscore the universalities of human life that transcend borders and language. Our 2015 offerings exemplified the range of topics being explored in contemporary French cinema, including immigration (our 2015 opening comedy, Samba), racial and cultural issues (Girlhood, Once in a Lifetime), women’s rights (Mustang), religious fundamentalism (Timbuktu), social and economic issues (Hippocrates, The Measure of a Man), LGBT issues (The New Girlfriend), and even philosophical issues (The Kidnapping of Michel Houellebecq)

We offer wonderful opportunities to support the Sacramento French Film Festival. Whether you are a business (Corporate Sponsorhip) or an individual (Ami du Festival); whether you are interested in making a cash or in-kind contribution, there is an option that is right for you! We hope that you will be interested in joining the businesses and individuals who care about the success of the Festival and help us make each edition better than the last!

If you think the Sacramento French Film Festival’s mission is one to be supported, please help us continue our good work by donating today!

MERCI !

CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP

Sponsoring the SFFF is an opportunity for you to be associated with a distinctive, first-class and outstanding event; increase your visibility among our educated and affluent audience from the Sacramento Valley, the Sierra foothills, the Bay Area, Southern California and out of state; and give your employees or clients the chance to attend our acclaimed programs. Our Winter Short Film Screening and “Serge!” event have broadened our audience base and provide additional exposure to our patrons. And, of course, contributions to the Sacramento French Film Festival are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Your generous sponsorship makes it possible for us to make payments for such expenses as theater rental, film rental, transportation fees, marketing, postage, printing and a whole list of other items that are necessary to organize a film festival. We have established the following five sponsoring levels with the aim to offer you the best benefits packages.  Merci for your interest and support!

We also offer in-kind sponsorship and media partnership opportunities. Contact us for more information and to learn about other special sponsoring opportunities.

  LES AMIS DU FESTIVAL

Support the Sacramento French Film Festival by becoming an Ami du Festival (Friend of the Festival)!  To us, the Amis are truly more than friends – their support makes the Festival possible!

Each Ami du Festival is an essential member of the SFFF team. You make it possible to bring the best and newest French films to Sacramento. Ticket sales cover only about 40% of our operating costs and the remainder must be raised through our loyal supporters. Combined, your contributions enable the Festival to pay for theater rental, film rentals and shipping, postage, printing, and a long list of the other things it takes to organize a wonderful event each year.

Please find information below about the four Ami du Festival levels.  Each level offers a unique benefits package as thanks for your generous support.

To become an Ami du Festival, download the 2017 Amis du Festival package and return the form with a personal check by regular mail.
You can also donate online.
Merci for your interest and support.

The portion of your contribution that exceeds the fair market value of the benefits you receive in exchange is tax deductible.  Donations must be received before May 12, 2017. For more information on sponsoring this year’s Festival, please don't hesitate to contact us.
